Job Description

Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Specialist to join its dynamic warehouse operations team. This role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock movement, and supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with warehouse associates, operations managers, and logistics teams to ensure inventory integrity and optimize warehouse productivity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels within the warehouse.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper documentation and system updates.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage inventory data efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, trends, and discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer systems and inventory management software.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking capabilities.

Experience

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics preferred.
  • Prior experience with inventory management systems or ERP tools is advantageous.
  • Freshers with strong analytical and organizational skills may also be considered.

Working Hours

  • Flexible shifts including day, evening, and night shifts.
