Job Summary

Cruise Ship Jobs is seeking enthusiastic, service-driven, and professionally presented individuals to join our onboard hospitality team as Bell Staff – Guest Luggage Assistance and Cabin Escorting. In this guest-facing role, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional first impression by assisting passengers with luggage handling, escorting guests to their cabins, and delivering warm, personalized service throughout the embarkation and disembarkation process.

As a Bell Staff team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and informed from the moment they step onboard. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and a passion for hospitality in an international cruise environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly during embarkation and provide a professional first impression.
  • Assist passengers with luggage handling, delivery, collection, and storage according to company standards.
  • Escort guests to their assigned cabins while providing ship orientation and helpful information.
  • Explain cabin features, onboard services, dining locations, entertainment venues, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and guest services departments for smooth guest experiences.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and provide accurate information regarding ship facilities.
  • Assist elderly guests, families, and passengers requiring special assistance.
  • Ensure luggage is delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in luggage storage and guest reception areas.
  • Support embarkation, disembarkation, and port-day logistics.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Follow all safety, security, and maritime operational procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Certification or training in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are highly desirable.
  • Professional grooming and presentation standards.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Basic understanding of hospitality service standards.
  • Ability to lift and transport guest luggage safely.
  • Positive attitude with a service-oriented mindset.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, hotel bell service, guest relations, airport assistance, or customer-facing service roles preferred.
  • Previous experience onboard cruise ships, luxury hotels, or international resorts is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with international guests is considered a plus.

Working Hours

  • Rotational shifts, typically 8–11 hours per day, depending on ship operations.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and port days.
  • Contract duration typically ranges from 4–8 months onboard.
  • Shared accommodation provided onboard during the contract period.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of guest service excellence and hospitality etiquette.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move luggage for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
  • Ability to quickly learn ship layouts, emergency procedures, and onboard services.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for diverse guest backgrounds.
