Job Summary

As a Biotech Data Scientist, you will design, implement, and optimize computational models to analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and clinical datasets. You will contribute to the development of predictive algorithms and biological data pipelines that support cutting-edge research initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze high-dimensional genomic and biological datasets using advanced statistical and computational techniques.
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms for biomarker discovery, disease prediction, and therapeutic research.
  • Design and maintain scalable bioinformatics workflows for sequencing and genomic analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams to translate biological questions into computational solutions.
  • Perform data preprocessing, normalization, quality control, and validation of experimental datasets.
  • Integrate multi-omics datasets for comprehensive biological interpretation.
  • Generate scientific reports, visualizations, and presentations for research stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in genomics, computational biology, and artificial intelligence.
  • Contribute to research publications, white papers, and patent-related projects where applicable.
  • Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computational Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Strong programming experience in Python, R, or similar analytical platforms.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in genomic sequencing analysis and biological database management.
  • Experience with cloud computing environments and scalable data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology and genetics principles.
  • Excellent communication and scientific documentation skills.

Experience

  • 3–7 years of professional experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare research, or genomics-based organizations.
  • Proven experience working with next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets.
  • Hands-on experience in multi-omics analysis and computational biology research.
  • Experience publishing scientific research or contributing to research-driven projects is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.
  • 40 hours per week.
