Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Technician to join the Hospital Equipment Maintenance Support team at Mediclinic. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of medical and clinical equipment across hospital departments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting patient care by maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing essential healthcare technology and devices in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and calibration of hospital medical equipment

Diagnose and repair technical faults in clinical devices and support systems

Ensure all biomedical and hospital equipment is functioning safely and efficiently

Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation

Support installation and commissioning of new clinical equipment

Collaborate with biomedical engineers, nurses, and clinical staff to resolve equipment issues

Ensure adherence to infection control and hospital safety protocols

Conduct equipment performance testing and report abnormalities

Assist in emergency equipment troubleshooting during critical situations

Monitor inventory of spare parts and request replacements when needed
Required Skills and Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field

Strong understanding of medical devices and hospital equipment systems

Knowledge of electrical safety standards and healthcare regulations

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Experience

1–3 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance or biomedical technical support preferred

Fresh graduates with strong technical internship exposure may also be considered
Working Hours

Rotational shifts including day, night, weekends, and on-call emergency support

Standard working hours: 40–45 hours per week depending on hospital operational needs
