Job Description

Job Summary

UnityAid Services is seeking a passionate and organized Community Development Coordinator to lead and support community-based initiatives that improve social welfare, education, healthcare access, and sustainable development programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with local stakeholders, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and internal teams to implement impactful projects that strengthen communities and promote long-term positive change.

This role requires excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills, along with a strong commitment to community empowerment and social responsibility. The Community Development Coordinator will play a vital role in planning outreach activities, monitoring project progress, and ensuring successful program delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage community development projects from planning to execution.
  • Build strong relationships with local organizations, government agencies, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Conduct community assessments to identify needs, priorities, and opportunities for development.
  • Organize outreach campaigns, workshops, awareness programs, and training sessions.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and operational activities to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and management.
  • Assist in fundraising initiatives, grant applications, and donor engagement activities.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.
  • Track project outcomes and recommend improvements for future community initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and nonprofit program management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of social impact programs and community outreach strategies is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in community development, nonprofit coordination, outreach programs, or social services.
  • Experience working with NGOs, charitable organizations, or public welfare initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday schedule with occasional weekend community events.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on project requirements.
  • Some local travel may be required for community visits and field activities.
