Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Community Moderator to oversee and manage online communities during night shift hours. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, engaging, and respectful digital environment for users across platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while working independently in a remote setup.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor online communities, forums, and social media platforms to ensure adherence to company policies and community guidelines.
  • Review user-generated content and take appropriate action, including moderation, removal, or escalation of inappropriate material.
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries, concerns, and reports with professionalism and empathy.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks such as spam, harassment, or abusive behavior.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of moderation activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Customer Support, Trust & Safety, and Product teams to improve community standards.
  • Provide insights and feedback to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Stay updated with evolving community trends, platform rules, and digital safety practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, online forums, and moderation tools.
  • Basic understanding of internet safety, digital behavior, and content policies.
  • Proficiency in using computers and common productivity tools.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in community moderation, customer support, or a related role.
  • Experience working in a remote environment is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to handling sensitive or user-generated content is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position.
  • Night shift schedule (aligned with international time zones, typically US/UK hours).
  • Flexible weekly offs based on rotational shifts.
