Job Description

Job Summary

GlobalRelief NGO is seeking a passionate and driven Community Outreach Officer to strengthen our engagement with local communities and support impactful social development initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations to promote awareness, participation, and access to essential humanitarian programs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to social impact and community empowerment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local groups, and partner organizations
  • Conduct field visits, community meetings, and awareness campaigns
  • Identify community needs and report insights to program development teams
  • Support planning and execution of outreach events and social initiatives
  • Promote NGO programs and ensure effective communication of services available
  • Collect feedback from beneficiaries to improve program effectiveness
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation of outreach activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of outreach efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth program delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Good organizational and coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in community outreach, NGO work, social development, or related fields preferred
  • Fresh graduates with strong volunteering or internship experience in social projects are encouraged to apply

Working Hours

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional fieldwork and weekend engagement based on project requirements

  • Strong understanding of community development and grassroots engagement
  • Ability to manage multiple outreach activities simultaneously
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness
  • Ability to work in field environments and travel locally when required
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
