Job Summary

Bechtel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our onsite team as a Site Manager. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between project stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction site operations and ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contracts.
  • Manage project documentation, including reports, schedules, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
  • Support cost control, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues and provide engineering solutions in real-time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in construction project engineering or site management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects.
  • Experience working in multinational or large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, onsite role.
  • Standard working hours with flexibility required based on project demands.
  • Occasional extended hours, weekend work, or shift work may be necessary to meet project milestones.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents and blueprints.
