Job Summary

OceanGlide Cruises is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cruise Line HR Assistant – Applicant Screening and Crew Welfare Support to join our Human Resources team. This role plays an essential part in supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and welfare management of shipboard and shore-based crew members.

The ideal candidate will assist in reviewing job applications, coordinating interviews, maintaining employee records, and supporting crew welfare initiatives. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about human resources, employee engagement, and working in an international maritime environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Screen incoming applications and resumes for various cruise ship positions.
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments and shortlist applicants based on job requirements.
  • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates, recruiters, and department managers.
  • Maintain accurate employee and applicant records in HR databases.
  • Assist with onboarding documentation, employment contracts, and compliance paperwork.
  • Support crew members with HR-related inquiries, workplace concerns, and welfare needs.
  • Help organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate with training departments for crew orientation and development programs.
  • Monitor contract renewals, leave schedules, and crew rotation planning.
  • Ensure all HR processes comply with maritime employment regulations and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, recruitment practices, and employee relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in multicultural environments.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, recruitment, employee relations, or administrative support.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, shipping, or cruise industry recruitment is preferred.
  • Experience handling employee documentation and compliance processes is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • 8 to 10 hours per day depending on operational requirements.
  • Flexible shifts may be required during recruitment campaigns or crew rotation periods.
  • Weekend availability may occasionally be needed based on business demands.

  • Understanding of employee welfare and workplace engagement practices.
