Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to support critical federal contract operations in a fully remote environment. This role is designed for cybersecurity professionals who are passionate about protecting enterprise systems, securing sensitive government information, and ensuring compliance with federal security regulations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with security teams, system administrators, compliance officers, and project stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, monitor security threats, implement defensive measures, and maintain the integrity of mission-critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activities across enterprise networks, endpoints, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration test reviews, and security audits to identify potential risks.
  • Analyze logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain incident response documentation and escalation procedures.
  • Ensure systems comply with federal cybersecurity frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to implement secure configurations.
  • Support authorization and accreditation activities for government systems.
  • Prepare security reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation for leadership and contract stakeholders.
  • Assist in security awareness initiatives and best-practice implementation across teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and security operations.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Knowledge of network security, system hardening, encryption, and access control mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices across modern enterprise environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
  • Relevant professional certifications are highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security operations.
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with security compliance frameworks and incident management processes is beneficial.
