Job Description

Job Summary

The Education Program Officer at EduAid Trust will play a key role in designing, implementing, and monitoring education-focused development programs aimed at improving learning outcomes for children and youth in underserved communities. The role requires strong coordination with field teams, schools, community stakeholders, and internal program units to ensure effective delivery of educational initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement education programs in line with organizational objectives
  • Coordinate with schools, teachers, and community leaders to support program delivery
  • Conduct field visits to monitor program progress and ensure quality implementation
  • Develop training materials and support capacity-building workshops for educators
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data and impact metrics
  • Support curriculum enhancement initiatives and learning interventions
  • Collaborate with internal departments for budgeting, planning, and reporting
  • Identify gaps in education delivery and propose innovative solutions
  • Ensure compliance with NGO policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or related field
  • Strong understanding of education systems and community development work
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong report writing and documentation abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in education programs, NGO sector, or community development
  • Experience in field-based project implementation is highly desirable
  • Prior exposure to monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes is an advantage

Working Hours

  • Full-time position
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Occasional field visits and weekend work may be required based on project needs
