Job Description

Job Summary

ReliefConnect NGO is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Field Officer – NGO Project to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of community-based development and humanitarian programs. The Field Officer will work closely with local communities, stakeholders, project coordinators, and partner organizations to ensure effective execution of field activities aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, community engagement experience, and the ability to manage field operations in dynamic environments. This role requires regular travel to project locations and active participation in outreach, reporting, and beneficiary support activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation and community participation.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, beneficiaries, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Support project planning, execution, and evaluation activities.
  • Collect field data, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Identify community needs and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  • Organize awareness campaigns, workshops, training sessions, and outreach programs.
  • Ensure project activities comply with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Assist in beneficiary registration, surveys, and impact assessments.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and field resources efficiently.
  • Report field challenges and propose practical solutions to management.
  • Build positive relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Support emergency response and relief operations when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Public Administration, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multicultural teams.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of NGO operations, humanitarian standards, and community development practices.
  • Ability to travel frequently to rural and remote project areas.
  • Strong commitment to social impact and community welfare.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in NGO field operations, community outreach, social development, or project coordination.
  • Experience working with vulnerable communities and grassroots organizations preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong volunteer or internship experience may also apply.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility required for field visits, emergency response activities, and community events.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required based on project needs.
