Job Description

Job Summary

HealthConnect Foundation is seeking a passionate and driven Health Awareness Program Coordinator to lead, design, and implement community-based health education and awareness initiatives. The role focuses on improving public health literacy, promoting preventive healthcare practices, and coordinating outreach programs in collaboration with local communities, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations. The ideal candidate will be committed to social impact and capable of managing field programs with strong organizational and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute health awareness campaigns across rural and urban communities
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and outreach events on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, maternal health, and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and government bodies for program implementation
  • Conduct community needs assessments to identify key health issues
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and impact assessments for ongoing programs
  • Mobilize volunteers and community health workers for field activities
  • Monitor program effectiveness and suggest improvements based on feedback and data
  • Ensure compliance with NGO guidelines and public health standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Community Development, or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct community engagement and field visits
  • Basic knowledge of public health principles and awareness programs
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in NGO work, community outreach, or public health programs preferred
  • Fresh graduates with strong internship or volunteer experience in health awareness projects may also apply

Working Hours

  • Full-time position
  • Standard working hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Field visits and community programs may require occasional flexible or weekend hours

  • Understanding of community health challenges and preventive healthcare strategies
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for group sessions
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural and rural settings
  • Report writing and basic data analysis skills
