Job Summary
Cruise Ship Jobs is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our onboard hospitality operations team. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all vessel departments. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for processing, cleaning, pressing, sorting, and distributing guest stateroom linens, towels, crew uniforms, and other onboard fabrics.

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steam presses, and ironing machines.

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and other textile items according to company procedures.

Inspect all laundry items for stains, damage, or wear before and after processing.

Ensure proper handling of delicate fabrics and specialty garments according to care instructions.

Maintain inventory control of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.

Deliver clean laundry to stateroom attendants, housekeeping teams, and department managers on schedule.

Follow sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure all laundry operations meet maritime safety regulations.

Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.

Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.

Support other housekeeping or hotel operations tasks when required by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.

Basic understanding of laundry operations, fabric care, and stain removal techniques.

Ability to operate industrial laundry and pressing equipment safely.

Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods, lift loads, and work in warm environments.

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, hotel services, or related hospitality roles preferred.

Previous experience in cruise ships, hotels, resorts, hospitals, or industrial laundry facilities is considered an advantage.

Experience working in multicultural environments is highly desirable.
Working Hours

8 to 11 hours per day depending on operational requirements.

6 to 7 days per week as per cruise ship rotation schedules.

Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Contract durations typically range from 6 to 9 months onboard.
