Job Summary

Health Billing Outsourced is seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Medical Coder / Biller to join our healthcare revenue cycle team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, assigning standardized medical codes, and ensuring accurate and timely billing of patient services. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance, optimizing reimbursement, and supporting the financial health of healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

Review patient medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on services provided
Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and payers
Verify insurance eligibility and patient coverage details
Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing issues
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, coding standards, and payer guidelines
Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when required
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes and industry regulations
Generate billing reports and maintain accurate records of all transactions

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of insurance claim processes and healthcare reimbursement systems

Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in medical coding or medical billing preferred
Freshers with relevant certification and strong understanding of coding standards may also apply

Working Hours

Full-time position
Standard schedule: Monday to Friday
Flexible shifts may be available depending on operational requirements
Remote or hybrid work options may be offered based on performance and company policy
