Job Description

Job Summary

BrightFuture Foundation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented NGO Program Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of community development programs and social impact initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with program managers, field staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about humanitarian work, social development, education, healthcare, community outreach, and nonprofit operations. The NGO Program Assistant will contribute to administrative support, reporting, communication, project coordination, and monitoring activities that help drive positive change within communities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of NGO programs and projects.
  • Support program managers with scheduling, documentation, reporting, and communication activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, project progress, budgets, and operational activities.
  • Prepare presentations, meeting agendas, project reports, and donor documentation.
  • Coordinate with volunteers, community leaders, vendors, and partner organizations.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, outreach campaigns, training sessions, and fundraising events.
  • Monitor project timelines and help ensure activities are completed according to organizational goals.
  • Conduct field visits when required to support project implementation and collect feedback.
  • Maintain databases and ensure all program information is updated regularly.
  • Handle emails, phone calls, and internal communications professionally.
  • Support grant application preparation and donor reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and nonprofit regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and community development initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of project coordination and administrative processes is preferred.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in NGO operations, nonprofit administration, project coordination, or community outreach preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with internship or volunteer experience in nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with donors, volunteers, or social programs is an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-Time Position
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during events, campaigns, or field activities.
