Job Description

Job Summary

The Training and Development Officer at SkillBridge Foundation is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing capacity-building programs that enhance the skills and effectiveness of staff, volunteers, and community beneficiaries. This role focuses on identifying learning needs, creating impactful training modules, and ensuring continuous professional development aligned with the organization’s mission and social impact goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute training strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Conduct training needs assessments across departments and field programs
  • Design engaging learning modules, workshops, and e-learning content
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff, volunteers, and partner organizations
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics
  • Maintain training records, reports, and documentation for compliance and improvement
  • Collaborate with program managers to support field-based capacity building
  • Update training materials based on evolving development sector practices
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires and volunteers
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning within the organization

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or related field
  • Strong understanding of training methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to design structured learning content and training manuals
  • Proficiency in MS Office and online learning tools (Zoom, LMS platforms, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in training, learning & development, HR, or NGO sector
  • Prior experience in designing and delivering workshops or capacity-building programs is preferred
  • Experience working with community-based programs or non-profit organizations is an advantage

Working Hours

  • Full-time position
  • Flexible working hours depending on training schedules and field requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required for on-site training sessions

  • Ability to assess training needs and measure learning outcomes
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
