Job Summary
Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Onsite Network Support Specialist to join our corporate campus IT infrastructure team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems across a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and security of network services while delivering exceptional technical support to internal stakeholders. This position requires hands-on expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN systems.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability across the corporate campus.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to implement network upgrades, patches, and security measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards.
- Support end-users and internal departments with network-related requests and troubleshooting.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy strategies.
- Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning for network systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade equipment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of network security principles and firewall configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in network support or infrastructure roles.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-level network environments.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues in a corporate setting.
- Prior exposure to cloud networking environments (Azure preferred) is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time onsite role based at Microsoft’s corporate campus.
- Standard working hours with flexibility to support after-hours maintenance or emergency incidents when required.
- Participation in on-call rotation schedules may be necessary.
