Job Summary
SmileBridge Trust is seeking a passionate and community-focused Outreach and Awareness Officer to support the organization’s mission of creating positive social impact through public engagement, awareness campaigns, and community partnerships. The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting the organization’s programs, increasing public awareness, building relationships with stakeholders, and strengthening community participation.
The Outreach and Awareness Officer will work closely with internal teams, volunteers, donors, local communities, educational institutions, and partner organizations to develop outreach initiatives that align with the NGO’s goals and values. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and a strong commitment to social development and humanitarian causes.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute outreach campaigns to raise awareness about the organization’s programs and services.

Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and public institutions.

Organize awareness drives, workshops, seminars, fundraising activities, and community engagement events.

Represent the organization during public events, meetings, and community forums.

Develop promotional materials including brochures, newsletters, presentations, and social media content.

Coordinate with media representatives to enhance public visibility and community outreach efforts.

Conduct field visits to assess community needs and identify opportunities for partnership and engagement.

Support volunteer recruitment and community participation initiatives.

Maintain records of outreach activities, campaign performance, and stakeholder engagement reports.

Collaborate with program teams to ensure outreach activities align with organizational objectives.

Monitor trends and community feedback to improve awareness strategies and communication effectiveness.

Assist in donor engagement and advocacy initiatives when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, Community Development, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Knowledge of community outreach practices and public awareness campaigns.

Ability to create engaging content for digital and offline communication platforms.

Strong organizational and event coordination skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.

Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in community outreach, NGO operations, public relations, communications, or social development programs.

Previous experience working with nonprofit organizations, charitable institutions, or community projects will be preferred.

Experience in organizing public awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities is highly desirable.
Working Hours

Full-time position.

Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or travel locally for community events and outreach activities when required.
