Job Summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Part-Time Outbound Scheduling and Patient Outreach Clerk to support its mission of delivering critical healthcare and community services. This remote role focuses on proactively contacting patients, donors, or program participants to coordinate appointments, provide essential information, and ensure a seamless service experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments for patients, donors, or program participants.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in scheduling and CRM systems.
  • Provide clear and professional communication regarding appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize scheduling efficiency and address patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies when handling sensitive information.
  • Identify and escalate urgent concerns or special cases to appropriate departments.
  • Meet daily/weekly outreach and scheduling targets while maintaining high service quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or customer service is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with empathy and professionalism.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1โ€“2 years of experience in a customer service, call center, healthcare scheduling, or administrative role.
  • Prior experience in outbound calling or patient outreach is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in remote or virtual environments is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Part-time position with flexible scheduling options.
