Job Summary

Heads Up For Tails is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and passionate Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our growing retail team. This role is ideal for individuals who love pets, enjoy interacting with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting pet parents in finding the right products, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

You will serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring every customer has a memorable shopping experience while supporting daily store operations and sales objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable pet products, accessories, food, toys, grooming essentials, and wellness products.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business through excellent service.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across all categories, including pet nutrition, care, accessories, and lifestyle products.
  • Assist customers with product selection, promotions, pricing, and purchases.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash, digital payments, and billing transactions with accuracy.
  • Ensure store shelves are stocked, organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Support inventory management activities, including stock replenishment, product labeling, and stock counting.
  • Assist in implementing promotional campaigns, in-store displays, and merchandising activities.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
  • Maintain store hygiene and ensure products are displayed according to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and operational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate students or graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Genuine love for pets and an interest in pet care products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage customers and understand their needs.

Experience

  • 0โ€“3 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality, or related fields.
  • Experience in pet retail, lifestyle retail, or premium consumer products will be an advantage.
  • Freshers with strong communication skills and enthusiasm for pet care are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

  • Part-time position.
