Job Description

Job Summary

Payroll Plus Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing for both local and US-based employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations while maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and payroll systems across multiple geographies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for local and US employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and update payroll records including earnings, deductions, bonuses, and tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Handle payroll-related queries from employees and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for employee data changes, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  • Manage statutory filings, tax deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2, Form 16, etc.).
  • Monitor payroll system updates and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy and confidentiality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing for both Indian and US payroll systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • 2โ€“5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably handling both local and US payroll.
  • Experience in multinational or shared service environments is an added advantage.
  • Prior exposure to payroll audits and compliance requirements is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Flexible shift aligned with US payroll timelines.
  • May require overlap with US business hours.
  • Hybrid or remote work options based on company policy.

  • In-depth understanding of payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines simultaneously.
