Job Summary
The University of the People is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Remote Academic Advisor to support learners enrolled in its online degree programs. This role is pivotal in guiding students throughout their academic journey, ensuring they achieve their educational goals while maintaining a high level of engagement and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Provide personalized academic advising to students enrolled in online degree programs.

Guide students in course selection, academic planning, and program requirements.

Monitor student progress and proactively identify and support at-risk students.

Respond to student inquiries via email, chat, and virtual meetings in a timely manner.

Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams to ensure student success.

Maintain accurate records of student interactions and academic progress.

Assist students with understanding university policies, procedures, and academic expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Education, Counseling, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in academic advising, student support, or a related role.
