Job Summary
HR Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Bookkeeper – Certified AU Tax & BAS Support to manage financial records, ensure compliance with Australian taxation standards, and support BAS (Business Activity Statement) reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping expertise, hands-on experience with AU tax regulations, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting timely reporting for clients across Australia.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations for multiple clients

Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes

Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial closing activities

Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and bookkeeping standards

Assist in payroll processing where required

Generate financial reports, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets

Communicate with clients regarding financial queries and documentation

Support audits by preparing necessary financial records and reports

Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data
Required Skills and Qualifications

Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent accounting qualification

Strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations and BAS reporting

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

Excellent understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

Proven experience handling AU BAS lodgments and tax compliance

Prior experience in remote or outsourced finance roles preferred
