Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Bookkeeper to support small businesses with their financial records and tax-related processes. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist with tax preparation by organizing financial data and documentation
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Monitor cash flow and provide insights to improve financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Collaborate with accountants and clients to resolve discrepancies
  • Utilize accounting software to track and manage financial transactions

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
  • Experience working with small businesses or tax support services preferred
  • Familiarity with remote work environments and digital collaboration tools

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position with flexible working hours
  • Availability during standard business hours (based on client requirements)
