Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Corporate Counsel specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) law to support our global operations. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting, managing, and enforcing the company’s intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will work closely with product, engineering, R&D, and business leadership teams to ensure legal compliance and strategic IP positioning in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance on intellectual property matters including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements
Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related contracts, NDAs, technology agreements, and commercial partnerships
Develop and implement IP protection strategies aligned with business objectives
Conduct IP risk assessments and advise on infringement risks and mitigation strategies
Manage IP portfolios, including filing, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement activities
Collaborate with external counsel on litigation and dispute resolution cases
Support product and innovation teams in identifying patentable innovations
Monitor global IP law developments and ensure organizational compliance
Conduct internal training on IP awareness and protection best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution
Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s)
Strong expertise in intellectual property law (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets)
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently in a remote, global environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in corporate law with a strong focus on intellectual property
Experience in technology, SaaS, software, or R&D-driven organizations preferred
Prior experience managing global IP portfolios is highly desirable
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a corporate environment

Working Hours

Full-time remote position

Occasional availability required for cross-border meetings and urgent legal matters
