Job Summary

HR Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Health Insurance Coder (CPC Certified) to join our growing healthcare operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately reviewing clinical documentation, assigning standardized medical codes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in a remote work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review patient medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures
  • Ensure coding compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation when needed
  • Validate insurance claims for correctness before submission
  • Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or missing information
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in a remote workflow system
  • Stay updated with coding guidelines and industry changes

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems)

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of medical coding experience preferred
  • Fresh CPC-certified professionals with strong practical training may also apply

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position
  • Flexible schedule with core availability required (aligned with U.S. healthcare workflow if applicable)
  • Full-time: approximately 40 hours per week
  • Occasional deadlines may require extended availability
