Job Summary
InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Remote Language Interpreter to support NHS-related communication services during evening shifts. The successful candidate will facilitate accurate, real-time interpretation between healthcare professionals and patients who have limited English proficiency. This role is critical in ensuring clear, culturally sensitive, and confidential communication within healthcare settings, improving patient outcomes and service accessibility.
Key Responsibilities

Provide real-time verbal interpretation between NHS healthcare staff and patients in multiple languages.

Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and completeness during all interpretation sessions.

Support medical consultations, emergency calls, and administrative healthcare communications.

Maintain strict confidentiality in line with healthcare data protection regulations.

Clarify and bridge cultural communication gaps when necessary without altering meaning.

Respond promptly to interpretation requests during scheduled evening shifts.

Record session summaries where required following NHS protocols.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth communication flow.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Fluency in English and at least one additional language (e.g., Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Punjabi, or Tamil preferred).

Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.

Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional ethics.

Ability to remain calm and accurate in high-pressure medical situations.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.

Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in interpretation, translation, or multilingual customer support.

Prior experience in healthcare, NHS, or medical interpretation is an advantage.

Freshers with certified language proficiency and strong communication skills may also be considered.
Working Hours

Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (India Standard Time)

Remote position with flexible scheduling within assigned shift hours
