Job Summary
InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Legal Secretary with a strong background in family law to support legal professionals in delivering exceptional client service. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has experience managing confidential legal documentation, court schedules, client communication, and administrative processes.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day legal operations while providing administrative and case management support to attorneys handling family law matters including divorce, child custody, adoption, guardianship, domestic violence cases, and spousal support matters.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and secretarial support to attorneys specializing in family law matters.

Draft, proofread, format, and file legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and court submissions.

Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, client meetings, and virtual consultations.

Organize and maintain digital case files, legal records, and confidential client information.

Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and clients regarding case progress.

Prepare hearing bundles, legal exhibits, discovery documents, and trial preparation materials.

Handle client intake procedures, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications.

Assist with billing records, time entries, and legal expense documentation.

Conduct legal research and retrieve case-related information when requested.

Ensure compliance with court filing procedures and jurisdictional deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Associate’s degree, diploma, or certification in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum typing speed of 60+ WPM with excellent accuracy.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Proficiency in legal documentation, formatting, and professional correspondence.

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, document management systems, and virtual collaboration tools.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and family law documentation.
Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal in a family law environment.

Prior remote work experience in legal administration is highly preferred.

Experience handling sensitive family law cases and confidential client records is required.
