Job Summary

HR Talent Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Medical Scribe to support healthcare providers serving patients across the United States. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical documentation, and healthcare workflows. As a Remote Medical Scribe, you will work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to accurately document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring the highest standards of clinical accuracy and compliance.

This position requires excellent listening skills, fast and accurate documentation abilities, and the capacity to work effectively during US healthcare operating hours. Key Responsibilities

  • Attend virtual patient consultations and accurately document physician-patient interactions in real-time.
  • Prepare comprehensive clinical notes including history of present illness, review of systems, physical examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Enter patient information into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with precision and consistency.
  • Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, grammar, and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Assist physicians by organizing laboratory reports, imaging results, referrals, and medical records.
  • Ensure all patient documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff regarding documentation requirements.
  • Maintain productivity targets while delivering high-quality documentation.
  • Update patient charts and clinical records as instructed by providers.
  • Support continuous improvement in documentation processes and workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification in healthcare, life sciences, nursing, medical transcription, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in typing with high speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) platforms.
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and cloud-based communication tools.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Transcriptionist, Clinical Documentation Specialist, or similar healthcare documentation role.
  • Experience working with US healthcare providers or knowledge of US clinical documentation standards is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in specialties such as Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, or Pediatrics is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.
  • Night shift aligned with US healthcare business hours.
  • Typical schedule may range between 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM based on assigned US time zones.
  • Five working days per week with rotational weekends if required.
  • Flexibility for overtime during peak clinical schedules may be expected.
