Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Remote Transcriptionist specializing in legal and medical documentation. This role involves accurately converting audio recordings into well-structured written documents while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional listening skills, strong command of language, and familiarity with legal and medical terminology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio files from legal proceedings, medical reports, consultations, and dictations into clear, accurate written formats
  • Review and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and formatting consistency
  • Ensure compliance with legal and healthcare documentation standards and confidentiality requirements
  • Interpret complex terminology and ensure accurate representation in transcripts
  • Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
  • Collaborate with internal teams for clarification or quality assurance when needed
  • Maintain organized records of completed and pending transcription tasks

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong typing skills with high accuracy (minimum 60+ WPM preferred)
  • Proficiency in transcription software and tools
  • Familiarity with legal and medical terminology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of professional transcription experience required
  • Prior experience in legal or medical transcription is highly preferred
  • Experience working remotely or in a freelance transcription role is an advantage

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position with flexible working hours
  • Ability to meet deadlines across different time zones as required
  • Option for part-time or full-time engagement based on workload

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
