Fresher Jobs Hub is seeking highly skilled and passionate Restaurant Chefs specializing in Indian cuisine to join leading hospitality establishments in Singapore. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional and modern Indian cooking techniques, menu innovation, and kitchen leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, including regional specialties.
  • Design and update menus based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and market trends.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes served.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness in compliance with regulations.
  • Manage inventory, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers for quality ingredients.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance customer satisfaction and dining experience.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and timely service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Indian cuisine (North Indian, South Indian, or specialty regional cuisines).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Experience

  • Minimum 3โ€“7 years of experience as a Chef specializing in Indian cuisine.
  • Prior international or Singapore-based restaurant experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Typical working hours range from 8 to 10 hours per day, depending on restaurant operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to innovate while maintaining authenticity in dishes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
