Job Summary
IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Observability Engineer to join our remote team. This role is critical in building, optimizing, and maintaining observability frameworks that ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability across distributed environments. You will work closely with DevOps, Engineering, and Product teams to implement monitoring solutions using tools like Splunk and Datadog, enabling proactive incident detection and resolution.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage observability strategies including logging, metrics, and tracing.

Build and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports using Splunk and Datadog.

Collaborate with engineering teams to instrument applications for improved visibility.

Analyze system performance and reliability metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas.

Develop automated solutions for incident detection, response, and remediation.

Support incident management processes including root cause analysis (RCA).

Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems.

Continuously improve observability frameworks aligned with SRE best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Splunk and/or Datadog.

Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing concepts.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience

Minimum 3–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Observability Engineering roles.

Proven experience managing large-scale distributed systems.

Prior experience working in remote or global teams is an advantage.
