Job Summary

HR Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Virtual Construction Estimator specializing in US blueprints to join our remote project delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing architectural and structural drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting construction bidding processes for residential and commercial projects across the United States. This role requires strong technical understanding of construction methods, blueprint interpretation, and cost analysis, all performed in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret US-based architectural and structural blueprints
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
Develop accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams
Review project specifications and identify scope gaps or risks
Maintain updated cost databases for materials and labor rates
Assist in bid preparation and submission processes
Ensure compliance with US construction standards and estimating practices
Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs
Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, RSMeans or similar tools)
Understanding of US construction codes and standards (preferred)
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Familiarity with Excel and cost tracking tools

Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying
Experience working with US-based construction projects is highly preferred
Background in civil engineering, construction management, or related field is an advantage

Working Hours

Fully remote position
Flexible working schedule aligned with US time zones (EST/PST overlap preferred)
Full-time commitment (approximately 40 hours per week)
