Job Description

Job Summary

The Volunteer Coordinator at CareBridge Trust plays a vital role in managing, organizing, and supporting the organization’s volunteer workforce. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and retaining volunteers who contribute to various community development, outreach, and social impact programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social service, highly organized, and capable of building strong relationships with volunteers from diverse backgrounds.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers in alignment with organizational needs
  • Develop and maintain a strong volunteer database and engagement system
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules for events, outreach programs, and field activities
  • Conduct orientation and training sessions for new volunteers
  • Act as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries and support
  • Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback where necessary
  • Collaborate with program managers to assess staffing requirements
  • Organize volunteer appreciation programs and retention initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety guidelines
  • Prepare regular reports on volunteer activities and engagement metrics

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic database management tools
  • Experience in volunteer management or NGO coordination preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, HR, community outreach, or nonprofit program support
  • Prior experience in an NGO or social impact organization is highly desirable

Working Hours

  • Full-time position
  • Flexible schedule based on field activities and events
  • Occasional weekend or evening work required for programs and outreach events
