Job Summary
OneTech Associates is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Youth Support Worker to join our residential care team for teenagers. In this role, you will provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for young people facing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. You will play a vital role in guiding and empowering teens to develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes. This position requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, empathy, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with young individuals.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care, supervision, and emotional support to teenagers in a residential setting.

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes well-being and personal growth.

Support residents in developing life skills such as communication, decision-making, and independence.

Implement individualized care plans and behavior management strategies.

Monitor and document residents’ progress, behaviors, and any incidents accurately.

Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.

Facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.

Maintain compliance with safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and organizational standards.

Act as a positive role model and mentor to young people.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred).

Certification in youth work, childcare, or residential care (preferred).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and effectively.

Empathy, patience, and emotional resilience.

Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience

Previous experience working with children or teenagers in a residential, educational, or support setting is highly desirable.

Experience in handling behavioral or emotional challenges is an advantage.

Working Hours

Flexible shift-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Full-time and part-time positions available.

Overnight shifts may be required depending on the care schedule.
